About
Scott Doody has lived in the 118th District his entire adult life. As a father and grandfather, Scott cares deeply about how we protect our region for future generations.

Doody spent years on Southern Illinois Talk radio as cohost of the "Working Man Show" which covered Illinois politics for more than a decade. This experience gave Scott the relationships and knowledge to represent his fellow 118th District residents.

Scott is Pro-Life and Pro-Second Amendment.

Scott believes the State of Illinois should eliminate property taxes for Illinois residents 62 years of age and older. All Illinoisans are overtaxed, but this is a good start to give relief via a property tax waiver on their primary residence.

Scott believes that Tamms Correctional Center should be repurposed. The facility could be converted for people struggling with drug addiction. Additionally, the facility could be repurposed as a site for movies or shows.

Scott is an accomplished author and historian. His desire for classic cars & racing has allowed him to parlay that passion into a successful auto restoration and race business.
Elect Scott Doody to the 118th District on March 17. Scott will be the right conservative voice for our values, and an honest fighter for the region.
